About Us

New Hope Church is a group of people who have been transformed by the love of God and we strive to live our lives that way.

We come from all walks of life but are working towards becoming more like Jesus every day.  We believe that means:

Worshiping God in spirit and truth (John 4:24)
Loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:39)
Bearing one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2)
Seeking justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God (Micah 6:8)
Trusting in God (Psalm 9:10)

A Message From Our Pastor

Dear Friend;

Welcome and thanks for visiting our church informational website. Whether you are here for the first time or the 15th time, we are glad you took the time to check out our page. At New Hope, we have the faith that there is Hope for a better day, Hope for Healing, Hope for Peace and Hope for Joy.

We endeavor to continue to connect and serve our Tappahannock community. We endeavor to show love and care for you and your family. We hope that you find all of those things as you interact with us here. If there is anything, you need please do not hesitate to contact us. Just click the connect/contact link at the top of our page. We would love to hear from you.

March 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and the impact continues in the community physically, financially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you”.

We hope you find encouragement and strength every time you logon to our site here at New Hope. Please see the Link to log on via Zoom or register to come and visit. We would love to welcome you and your family. May the grace of God be upon you this day and forever more. God bless,

Dr. Dee Lucombe, Pastor

28 Fundamental Beliefs

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians.

Currently, Adventists hold 28 fundamental beliefs that can be organized into six categories—the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity.
